@serenadeofagony I think both are possible, but with “self” it’s slightly more… old-fashioned? Yet still grammatical.
I assume “yourself” is replacing “you” in this context, so based on the semantics it somehow goes from the anaphor category into a usual pronoun… But Idk, just guessing
