🇦🇹Potapova vs 🇷🇺Kalinskaya was not a particularly high-level match.
Both players were very nervous, lots of poor decisions and unforced errors. Still, plenty of drama in decider.
Potapova’s serve let her down, including six straight serve points lost in the final tiebreak. She won just 44% of her serve points.
Huge win for Anna, her best result at RG before this was just the second round.
I feel like the last five ATP narratives have all been, here’s this amazing new player, he’s going to beat everybody, wait, oops, he just lost to Sinner 6-2.
@nishikoripicks Quality of this final was very low, maybe that was the worst-quality encounter Sinner and Alcaraz have ever had, so I kinda don’t get that comparison with Big 3.
@JaroslavPlasil No jen aby je postavil, když půjde do tuhého. To co vymyslel v Boloni, kdy nechal sedět Pavláska a do deblu upřednostnil Menšíka nás stálo turnaj.
Well done Mr. Berdych
what a choice to choose Mensik instead of Pavlasek for doubles...
Menšík, when Czech was up 5:2 in tb, lost 3 of 4 service points and crippled that forehand on Spaniards' setpoint
Even though Machac is playing great, he just can't carry the whole boat

Felix Auger Aliassime on players who don’t enjoy the professional tennis tour, ‘I don't know how guys don't enjoy it. I think they lost perspective completely… If you want to play less tournaments, stay home. Nobody's forcing you to be here’
“Here and in the tour in general, players seem to be physically or mentally exhausted or both. You look like you're kind of enjoying it. It shouldn't be so rare, but it feels like it is. Is that the case? What is your secret?”
Felix: “I don't know how guys don't enjoy it, to be honest. I think they lost perspective completely. I get that you can get tired. I'm tired, too. I do trips around and I go see different circumstances around the world. I mean, we're just lucky and blessed. In my humble opinion, every day I wake up and I enjoy. I enjoy that I'm here. Even if I lose matches, it's okay, I'm pissed for a day.
I don't know. If you want to play less tournaments, stay home. Nobody's forcing you to be here.”
