@smerconish firing someone for humiliating their boss in front of coworkers is perfectly valid... the problem is that he was 100% right and the boss in question shouldn't have been fired in the first place... but when you're serving a political master, competence takes second place

@AP there are a lot of problems with gun laws in this country, but this isn't one of them. a musket gives you one inaccurate shot, and then it'll take you a full minute to reload. plenty of time for the person you missed to take it away from you

@smerconish the problem comes with the combination of authenticating a user to a specific voting precinct while simultaneously guaranteeing the anonymity of that user. it's all fine and dandy until someone hacks the system and breaks the anonymizer

@smerconish No, but they shouldn't dictate what their employees (professors, etc.) can say or teach in those areas either. They should also be willing to accept the consequences of their stance (e.g. donors, profs, and students going elsewhere)
