On the anniversary of his Line of Duty death in 1999, fellow firefighters gathered at the Last Alarm Garden in the Fort Lincoln Cemetery to lay a wreath at the grave of Firefighter Costello N. Robinson, Engine Co. 2, who was affectionately known as The Colonel.

Engine 2 from Chinatown proudly participated in the parade celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Snake, which made its way through the heart of the Chinese community. Instead of battling the dragon, they were accompanied by them. #DCsBravest

Images from this morning’s Box Alarm in the 500 block of Pa. Ave NW. There was minimal damage and no injuries. Once again sprinklers played a key role in containing the fire prior to the arrival of #DCsBravest

Members of Engine 2 and Rescue 1 Platoon # 4 along with Engine 6 and Truck 4 paid respects at the Call Box of Lt McCrae who died in the Line of Duty on May 6th 2015. Lt McCrae a Former Rescue 1 Technician. Continue to Rest in Peace. @dcfireems @IAFF36

The pair met with first responders, receiving a tour of the facility and sharing appreciation for their service to our community.

Firefighter Jim Mazzara, a bagpiper with the DC Fire Department Emerald Society Pipe and Drum band, provided a fitting send off to legendary WRC 4 reporter Pat Collins at his final appearance on the air. Pat has been a good friend to #DCsBravest.

Firefighters & families of fallen members gathered to memorialize the 102 members of the District of Columbia Fire & EMS Department who died in the Line of Duty in its 150 years. This moving event ended with a processional of 102 flags, 1 for each fallen member. #DCsBravest.

Young people from the @IAFFofficial Burn Camp are greeted by our peer support team dogs as they arrive for lunch at our Chinatown Firehouse, sponsored by @IAFF36 and the @DCFFBFoundation. All of the participants are burn survivors 13-15 years old.

Supported by @IAFF36 & @DCFFBFoundation, lunch is served at our Chinatown firehouse to participants in the @iafffoundation Burn Camp. The all-expenses paid, week-long camp helps young burn survivors understand they are not alone & there is a larger support system. #DCsBravest
