I think there’s a few reasons why some people choose Hybrids over EVs:
EV prices are lower than they’ve ever been, but the perception is that prices are still very high. Including the POS $7,500 EV credit, you can get every Model Y trim in the US for under $40k (with inventory discount). Another thing is charging infrastructure concerns. Non-Tesla charging networks haven’t been very reliable, which instills doubt in the technology, but some are reliable and commonplace. Tesla’s Supercharger network, of which there are over 55,000 charging stalls worldwide and growing, has an uptime rating of 99.95%.
To be fair, Tesla could absolutely do a better job of educating people on the benefits of owning an EV, how affordable they have become, how easy it is to charge and that EVs are cars that you can use in your daily life, even in cold areas, etc, etc. I think Tesla has started that process with ads, and more will hopefully be done.
@AmazonHelp I continue to have packages dropped off at my doorstep and your drivers don’t ring the doorbell. This results in a lot of stolen packages. Can you fix this?

@EversourceMA how are you cutting power tonight for up to 4 hours in the middle of the night in the middle of winter? “...temporary power outage will begin between midnight and 6 AM tonight and will last for up to four hours…”
