Even though their stories are set chronologically before Tom's or the MCU's, the main universe was always the MCU. That is why Tom's Spider-Man will be referred to as Peter 1.
To me, it’s simple: Tobey’s and Andrew’s Spider-Men are variants of Tom’s Spider-Man. In the Marvel Multiverse, the only universe that existed was the MCU; it wasn't until the events of Loki when the multiverse expanded that variants of MCU characters were created
I was OBVIOUSLY talking about the order! And I see people in the comments saying “the three Spideys didn’t even know the order of their films” like, are you serious?!
Tobey is the oldest, so he should be Peter 1. Andrew is second oldest, so Peter 2. Tom is the youngest, so Peter 3. It’s that simple.
If Tom really had to be Peter 1, then they should’ve just reversed the order: Tom as Peter 1, Andrew as Peter 2, and Tobey as Peter 3.
But having Tobey as Peter 2 and Andrew as Peter 3? That just doesn’t make any sense to me. The order they chose was just dumb.
my hot take ig is that i dont have a problem with them adapting this panel if it works in the context of the film and honors the core of the moment from the comics
