Yesterday was a day that was filled with such wholesome events from partaking as a guest speaker at the @UniNorthants Autism Study Day to celebrating the succsss of many of very own inspirational students and staff at the @northampton_su STAAR Awards.

I’ve never felt so proud👏🏼

We are all different.
We all have different facial features.
We like different food and have different hobbies.
We learn and think differently.

Given we’re all individually different, why are neurodivergent’s stignmatised for being ‘different’?

6 years ago, I accepted I found communicating & interacting highly challenging.
3 years ago, I joined @UniNorthants & everything changed for the better.

I hate when I send an email and sign it off as ‘El Wright’, the receiver response with “Hi Ellie”.
Talk about not accepting other peoples preferences on how they like to be named / identified🥲

@HelenAshby72 Please 100% raise it with res life/security. Don’t hold back. We had similar issues - students were breaking the rules of contract & were moved immediately and disciplined. Things can be done & if she is in a room to suit her needs she’s more than entitled to voice concerns.
