@EPsamurai1982@JReinerMD @VAhealthyhearts Two snares. A 20 mm snare initially to grab it near the tines and pull it into the RV. It got stuck in the RV, so we placed another 30 mm snared on the other end to turn it and pull it into the sheath.
Went fishing today, and all I got was this leadless pacemaker that had migrated to a pulmonary artery. Ever done this before @JReinerMD? @VAhealthyhearts
@ValayParikhMD@aalahmadmd@JReinerMD @VAhealthyhearts Device was implanted 8 weeks earlier. Didn't check PA pressures (even though we used a Swann - - oops). Utilized TEE when the device was stuck to help figure out if we were doing an inadvertent RV biopsy. Only mild TR after it was successfully explanted. Got lucky!
@MarceloHelguera@aalahmadmd@JReinerMD @VAhealthyhearts None! The device was pulled into a 26 Fr sheath. Venous access was pre-closed with two Proglides. Dry as a bone at the end.
@ParahisianPace @aalahmadmd@JReinerMD @VAhealthyhearts Nicely done! The tines gave us some troubles too, particularly in the RV. Hence the second snare to help maneuver it.
@MatthewCertain@JReinerMD @VAhealthyhearts I have no evidence to back this up, but it didn't seem like a good idea to us. On angiography, it was lodged at a bifurcation and occlusive of at least one segmental branch.
@Drayshaarshad You know I don't know how to do this Twitter thing! 20 mm goose neck loop snare around the end with the tines. Needed a 2nd 30 mm snare around the body when it got stuck on some RV trabeculae. Pulled it into a 26 Fr sheath.
When I snapped this pic of a rather rough looking Ovi at 10:15 am yesterday, I figured he'd be back in bed by 2 pm after a brief appearance at the Nats game. Never would've guessed an epic 15 hrs of partying would ensue. Rock star! #ALLCAPS @russianmachine @dcsportsbog
It's been an interesting day for me on social media. Was at the Lincoln Memorial this morning at 5:20 for an Instagram photo walk. A few hours later at Kettler, learned how to tweet after seeing some hilarity from our Stanley Cup champions. https://t.co/HkQgKzbQnh
