The European Parliament has adopted a resolution on the post-election situation in Uganda, condemning repression and threats against opposition leader Bobi Wine @HEBobiwine and calling for the release of political prisoners. A strong political signal and a clear warning against further repression.

The European Parliament is the elected assembly of the European Union.
When it adopts a resolution, it cannot change things directly in Uganda — but it sends a strong international message.

This vote tells the Ugandan authorities that the world is watching. It also speaks to cases like that of Lina Zedriga @linazed2 and many other political prisoners. (Admin)
