This is BBC R1 few hours before New Years Eve. Great dance music. Whatsapp voice notes from people. Thats's radio in pure state!

Glad you have here such a great public radios!
No way I can compare it with our public stations (RNE/CatRadio), in their musical services (RNE3/ICAT)

@RadioHacking Totalmente de acuerdo. Como mucho, yo habría apagado pequeños transmisores y dejado los grandes funcionando. A lo mejor no hace falta mantener los pequeños TX de Girona, Lleida, Tarragona cuando realmente con el 738kHz de Palau de Plegamans se oye perfectamente en toda Catalunya

Did almost all my commute back home listening to Mallorca Sunshine Radio, an station 300km away from me. Signal as local station 😅 Even was receiving it when entering my garage 😅 #fmdx

- I think XHData is not worth since FM transmissions are shut down... 🤔
- DAB portable radio?
- V/U walkie? Analog, DMR or YSF?

Just fired on FT8 this morning for a while on 4 meters band... 3 instant QSO!

In fact, the antenna is not tuned to 4m... (it's @m0cvo's HW-42HP OC Fed Dipole: HF+6m, not 4m).

But.. good job!

@BX3ADD Yes indeed it helps. I have a Yaesu FT-710 and I powered it using an old 7.2Ah lead-acid battery which let me listen to ham operators during some time. Sadly, as battery was not fully charged, I was not able to transmit.

SNR level was exceptionally low
