I'm supporting @whichuk's #StampOutScams campaign. It's time for banks to get serious about scams and protect innocent victims who are losing millions every year. https://t.co/MSZCgXQ9TV
Ask a teacher what they are paid per hour. It was always depressing to work out what it was when you did t just include time in school. Coaching etc earned more but I would ask some doctors how they work out their pay.
@AbbieTBee What is this obsession with ‘doctors should just be happy with helping people’? Lawyers help people and I’m pretty sure they’re not paid £15 an hour.
Not underwater trains - 🚆🛫 I thought they were flying trains over a huge raised structure which will obviously need piles for the arches to go down miles.
Anyone else think @Feargal_Sharkey should be awarded a knighthood for his relentless campaigning to expose the water pollution scandal?
Like & share if you agree
(A sainthood may be more appropriate… you need the patience of one to put up with this 💩)

@CommunityPlann1 A lack of financial viability I guess. It’s happening everywhere on brownfield sites. These developments are exactly where affordable homes are most needed!
So out of touch. No property in the Rhondda would take a couple over the threshold. This is a tax cut for a tiny proportion of the richest people in the country. Yet more irresponsible Rish!nomics.
If only it was the last piece - #beds#cambs could heave a sigh of relief that EWR have given up on the other half☹️🏘️🚆 Amazing that MK hardly existed 50 years ago - now they want to build it again in bits all over the route.
Final piece of East West Rail track to be laid in New Year connecting Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Winslow, Bicester & Oxford for the 1st time in 50 years

Soon the only ‘orchards’ left will be a collection of letters on signage marking developments devoid of wildlife. Words that are empty & meaningless, much like the promises of “biodiversity net gain” as concrete is poured #SaveOurOrchards #SaveCotonOrchard 🌳🍎🐝🪓 https://t.co/NnXtKipoIe
So so true! But many of us are praying that they won’t be delivered - meanwhile householders and farmers and nature lovers are in limbo at best and under blight at worst. @luhc @transportgovuk@RishiSunak It’s enough to make you not vote!
Instead, £75m has purchased a stack of reports for projects that may never be delivered. The other £100m has paid for projects that have been or are being delivered, most of which are of dubious benefit and poor to very poor value for public money. /END
Wow, just wow; Have you seen this @cllrbridget @LNethsingha@pippaheylings.? Do take a good look because @SCLibDems voted to put the C2C busway through the orchard and it may soon be entombed in concrete and tarmac. And no @CambsLabour it’s not a monoculture than can be offset
A very positive approach to town development, thank you @johnharris1969
The problem:
In countless British suburbs and towns, cookie-cutter developments, poor building standards, not meeting local needs for either genuinely affordable flats and houses or homes for social rent
Why this unnecessary road will be a catalyst for urbanisation far beyond the wildest dreams of those who are determined to ruin our precious countryside.
This road needs to be stopped. Please lobby @NorfolkCC and your local MP
Once again a massive round of applause to @joe_crowley and everyone at @BBCPanorama for exposing the lies, deceit and corruption of the water industry and the utter inability and incompetence of the regulatory system to deal with it.
It's what @BBCPanorama was built for. 👏👏👏
Stats without any supporting detail. A way to get around the true meaning of Leveling Up @luhc @michaelgove In the name of the forgotten but for the benefit of those with £ and influence. #gov#unis#developers#housebuilders & to the detriment of all of us by envir distruction.
£1m funding earmarked to address ‘stark inequalities’ in Greater Cambridge - to ‘share the benefits of the growth driven by the city’s knowledge economy’.
According to @Cambridge_Uni, Cambridge has 5,500 ‘knowledge-Intensive’ businesses generating more than £20bn annually.
Yes - when I asked Beth West questions at one of the
Consultations’ she just came out with techdigoop over and over! This is surely not what @transportgovuk @luhc mean by ‘considering local concerns? Or is it?
The Conservative mayor replied: “I have challenged Beth West chief executive as vigorously as I possibly can. It’s very difficult to challenge somebody who doesn’t want to be challenged, or sits in a room and smiles at you & won’t answer questions.
“It’s a slippery slope & there isn’t much slope left” in Bristol it’s Yew Tree Farm. In Cambridge it’s Paradise Nature Reserve & Coton Orchard. If councils don’t protect these spaces, don’t heed experts @WildlifeTrusts, what hope is there for stoping the free fall❓#DefendNature
