Went D3 and we had 6am lifts, class, then 3-4 hour practices. Wish people wouldn’t put it out like D1 athletes do so much more than any other college level
Because anger and hostility destroy our peace of mind, it is they that are our real enemy. Anger ruins our health; a compassionate attitude restores it. If it were basic human nature to be angry, there’d be no hope, but since it is our nature to be compassionate, there is.
There are some kids I can’t figure out how to motivate. I just can’t seem to get through to ‘em. Maybe you have some of those students too. I don’t know the answer...but I do know this: we must keep supporting them; we must keep encouraging them; and we must keep loving them.
Here’s the reality.
None of us are easy to be with.
We all suffer from something.
So when you meet someone who is willing to stay committed to understanding you and actually wants to grow with you, don’t let lame shit like your pride and ego get to you.
Real is rare.
