@omgsidewalks There's no such thing as a "free" commodity. Someone has to pay for the service. If that someone is the government, then one has to consider the quality of the service provided. Currently, the quality of government educational service is abysmal.
@EddieJamro84189 Rev. 14:12 refers to individuals, not to "churches". If you're comment is about dogmatic practice, which in part interpret "commandments", then you need to start there. I.e. how are you defining "commandment" and the compliance to it?
@Chitownfan52@CubsGirlTalk True. A lot of fans were pleasantly surprised at how well the team did last year, but are booing now. PCA, Suzuki, and Tucker were on a tear last year. That hasn't happened this year. Combined with the loss of pitching, you're looking at a .500 team, at best.
@OrevaZSN Access is rather easy. The degree to which the service is provided, and how said service gets paid for is the challenge. Historically, the level of service for these items, provided by government entities, has been, and is, substandard. They're available.
@TradAdvocate@michellmybell1 The inability to stay celibate before marriage can be read as a sign that one isn't mature enough for marriage. If we're true to the idea of marriage, then we should be aware of what the costs are to do so. Getting married just to have sex is a poor reason to get married.
@TradAdvocate@michellmybell1 Most parents know that their children aren't ready for marriage whilr they're in their teens. Since sex is the driver here, why aren't parents teaching their kids to refrain from sex until they're ready to be married?
@sudo_seance@TheLastRefuge2 In the 60's, defendants often found themselves with 2 choices; reform school or the military. Since the military is the last place you'd want someone who doesnt give a rats butt about the USA, "reform school" it is. Here's 5K and a one way ticket out, your choice. Bon Voyage!
@sudo_seance@TheLastRefuge2 More like re-educate them via deportation. If the USA is the problem, then grant them one way transport to another country of their choice. Far cheaper than lifetime incarceration and more humane than execution. After 10 years, they can apply for return.
@sudo_seance@TheLastRefuge2 Forced confinement will only reinforce what they've been told all if their lives. In order for one to live in a lawful society, one has to have a reason for doing so. There has to be a level of respect/duty for the society itself. If such a thing does not exist...
@2footgiraffe A justification for AI instruction. We need to engage AI to help students learn the course material in A) their native language, 2) at their own speed. Teachers are still needed to proctor, observe, and maintain behavior standards, but course material is all AI.
@0xDavecryps If you're borrowing money to pay living expenses, your budget is out of whack. Reassess your living expenses so that your total expenses don't exceed your current earnings. The interest on the CC's will eat you alive.
@JS_StrngstSldr Perhaps we should stop worrying about who wrote it and ask ourselves if it's foundational to what we know today. Given the context, of what the Church teaches us, i'd say is darn near perfect. Do i need to know who wrote it? No. Is it relevant? Yes. Does it apply? Yes. Done.
@CaryKelly11 Perhaps our rage should be directed towards the University system that charges so much for degrees that have little to no ROI. While all degrees have some inherent value, that value needs to be taken into account for the price required for payment.
@Betsycashmoney You still fail to understand that the only one making money on debt financing is the banker. The city doesn't care about the debt, but watch who is used when it comes time to finance/refinance public works. Daley was famous for using his banking connections.
