@SpeedWatkins There are other rational methods outside of scientific ones no? Surely one justifies induction or something like it without appealing to induction.
@josh_philosophy Which copy of the first critique? Will we have fights during school board meetings between Guyer/woods supporters and Pluhar supporters?
@jacleo13@EllyVintiadis Macintyre was right about politics/metaphysics being connected or what? Was that quote about SCOTUS from ethics in conflicts in modernity? I got it for christmas but haven't read it.
@BBrown24646528 @EllyVintiadis We probably agree there. The tension between the support of individualism in liberalism and the need of homogeneity in democracy just won't allow it to survive. The historical account of their contingent pairing in opposing medieval society seems very strong to me.
@jacleo13@EllyVintiadis I just dont understand the political not metaphysical distinction. He does try to stuff things into the concept of reasonable and it irks me. Just be more upfront about it. His approach seems to be in-between two more radical options but he just doesn't choose. its sloppy
@MissalModernist @EllyVintiadis Do you know what this concept is called so I can learn more? It seemed like the main way to make sense of Christ's command.
@jacleo13@EllyVintiadis Late rawls just really bothers me a lot like absurdly so. I cannot believe people sincerely support his later work. so most of this is from him.
It bugs me that people dont reconigize that about Kantian constructivism. At least from what I have read online, people support it
