@BeeTEE15@jasonmyrt Big name players MIGHT now consider the Flyers now that they know the team is willing to pay big bucks to get the team into championship contention.
@NHLAdamK Certainly appears to be at least a $4M contact with these easily obtained incentives per PuckPedia:
$1.5M for 10GP, $500K for 40 GP, $500K for each conference finals and Stanley Cup
@313walttries@FriedgeHNIC Offer sheet was sent to Pavel. He is not signing it, but is using it to get a deal done with ANA, which is where he wants to stay.
Frank was not wrong.
@avappleyard 1. It rights a wrong
2. Will not affect $ as more people will not watch the game just because this ruling was made.
Mind you I’m not defending FIFA…crooked as a dog’s hind leg.
@devildorkboy@frank_seravalli There’s no consensus on what LC is worth, analytical or otherwise. Flyers felt $18M. 3 other teams made offers that can only be assumed were higher than what Anaheim offered. Anaheim has the opportunity to agree with PHI or decide he’s not worth that. But he’s now worth $18M per.
@devildorkboy@frank_seravalli At the time you sign the contract, you’re getting paid what you’re current market value or worth is. Over the life of the contract, you can become overpaid or underpaid depending on how you perform. It’s not that difficult of a concept to understand.
@devildorkboy@frank_seravalli Your value is what someone is willing to pay you for your services…so the contract is right on value.
And I’ll reiterate: NO ONE should be EXPECTED to play for less than their value.
Teams are not loyal to players…why should the reverse be expected?
@devildorkboy@frank_seravalli Did Marner screw the Leafs? Kaprizov the Wild? Just because McJesus was willing to play for less than his value doesn’t mean every other top player should. Careers are short. Earn as much as you can while you can.
How loyal are the teams to the players?
