Actually if you hear Trump carefully, he has just shafted Asim Munir and the Pakistani narrative. He says he spoke about trade to Pakistan and NOT INDIA, which is what MEA has said throughout. He says he told Pakistanis to back down if they want trade and within hours Pakistanis were calling India. Also, he says he warned Pakistan against any nuclear threat. It was the Pakis who went running to US, like they did during Kargil. India is very clear: it was the force of Indian arms that forced Pakis to back down. But it seems Trump made it easier for the Pakis to back off by incentivising them on trade. Oh and about the aircraft being shot down (thats what the Pakis will come back with) he doesn't say whose aircraft were shot down, does he? Even here it seems the Pakistani lie will out. Just a matter of time.
