@fionamau @michelleworgan @atenamj#SIGTweetMeet If you're actually rubbish at what you do, your social media presence won't take you very far...people will soon find out. But if you're great, and no-one knows about it.....
@fionamau #sigtweetmeet It could affect the design of your posts, but also the content. E.g. for some people swearing is part of their brand (probably not in ELT, though!)
@fionamau It can be colours of course- look at @kathbils use of blue and white on LinkedIn, which really makes her posts stand out. But might also be about 'voice', or the kinds of things you post about for example #sigtweetmeet
@michelleworgan @fionamau @atenamj Totally agree. But the better known you are, the more choice you're likely to have about what you do or don't take on (though I agree it's a worrying trend) #sigtweetmeet
@lexicojules @fionamau It can also help people more easily spot your posts in the timeline, and add to a professional impression (and I agree it can be fun :) #sigtweetmeet
@fionamau #sigtweetmeet Yes, it does... but it's not only about colours and fonts, it's everything you want people to know or conclude about you and your business.
@IELTSetc @jo_shortnsimple Honestly I love LinkedIn, definitely my favourite (If you’re connected with the right people).
And definitely advise quality interactions and community building on one platform over post and run on them all :)
On Wednesday, I'm really excited to be talking to Rachael Roberts about the Teenage Brain and her amazing career as a business and mindset coach for ELT entrepreneurs and freelance professionals, helping them earn more, work less, and live more fully. @ttradio2021 @teflerinha
I'm discussing “Taming our Inner Troll” with Verissimo Toste and ELT Entrepreneurs’ Club. Today, 3 Dec at 3:00 pm GMT in @clubhouse. Join us! https://t.co/N9uh5Unwls
@teacherphili I think there's a lot of crossover, but I see the Chimp and the Inner Troll as slightly different things. The Chimp is mainly about fear, whereas the Inner Troll has a nasty side.
