No one talks about how awful it is to be single on the weekend.
You get out of bed and try to stay busy, you do your best to forget you don’t have a partner.
You go for a walk and grab a coffee. You can’t help but see all the couples holding hands ordering together. You go to the farmers market, same thing.
So you keep busy, you go meet a friend for a walk walking down the WSH, and you avoid going home. Because going home means being alone.
You go see another friend who is getting ready for their date. You eventually have to go home.
You receive 3 different texts asking if you wanna come out but the truth is you don’t. You aged out of it. Unless it’s a dinner you have no desire to go and drink till 3 AM so you go home and find a good movie. You work on your next project
And thats when it hits you: life is not meant to be lived alone.
Why is gaming treated like some inherently unhealthy way to spend your free time? People binge shows, scroll for hours, read, shop, party, and do countless other things for fun, but somehow playing games is where everyone suddenly draws the line.

I'm 36 & still live with my parents. I'm not ashamed of admitting it. Both are in their 70s with health issues. I'm happy I'm here for them.
Unless I win the lottery, there ain't no way I could afford to live on my own in this shitty economy. This is the reality we are living.
Trabalho?
Inflação?
Depressão?
.
Não, amigo, você está em 2008, agora é um sábado de manha e você está jogando GTA San Andreas enquanto explora o interior do mapa, ouvindo a rádio K-Rose
Grieving sucks when it hits. It's like a damn choke hold and your whole day is ruined. I try and be as unfiltered as possible because I believe my grief can help someone out there not feel alone.
I wish I could tell my bro about all these new games. I miss him and my momma.😢
This post will be a bit personal. The final monologue in GTA VI's Extended Look hit me differently.
I'm in my 40s now. I was a completely different person when GTA V came out. Different stage of life, different responsibilities, different everything.
More than a decade has passed, and somewhere along the way, waiting for the next GTA stopped feeling like simply waiting for another game.
It became a reminder of how quickly time moves.
It almost feels like Rockstar is speaking directly to those of us who have been playing these games for decades. A quiet reminder that we spend so much time waiting for the next big thing that we sometimes forget to appreciate it when it finally arrives.
And I'd be lying if I said GTA VI doesn't make me wonder how many more of these moments I'll get to experience. If another GTA takes 10 or 15 years, how old will I be when I see it? How different will my life look then? How many new Grand Theft Auto games do I realistically have left in my lifetime?
It's a strange thought, especially for those of us who remember when these games arrived every few years.
So when GTA VI finally comes out, I don't want to rush through it. I want to take my time. Explore Vice City. Get lost in the little things. Talk about it with friends. Enjoy that rare period when everything is still new and millions of us are discovering the same world together.
Because one day, GTA VI won't be the game we’re all waiting for anymore.
It'll be the game we remember waiting all those years for.
Enjoy it while we're here.
