Dear Circles community,

We would like to announce important news about the Circles Coop’s future. Until now, we have been managing to find funding for both the team and the Berlin Pilot for the last three years. Unfortunately, the recent constraints in the available funding made our operations quite difficult to the point that we can no longer afford to continue as an autonomous Circles Coop. As hard as it was, we had to make a decision to terminate our operations as a Coop, effective January 2024.

As for now, we are able to maintain https://t.co/8HliWAjcTw wallet, which will still be available to all users. We hope that with the materials we created to support the hubs, and already existing networks, Circles will still be actively owned and used by the communities that it serves.

Circles Marketplace, our communication channels, and basic user support will be available at least until the end of the year.

We're arranging a concluding online assembly on November 22nd to facilitate a collective reflection and bring closure to Circles Coop. Stay tuned for further information.

In the upcoming months, it is our wish to re-emerge as a new organization and continue some of the projects from Circles Coop including @CirclesEntropy.

We will keep announcing any changes or new initiatives related to Circles, Circles Marketplace, and the https://t.co/8HliWAjcTw wallet via newsletters and our social media accounts.

It’s been a great journey together, and we are grateful for being a part of a unique #basicincome project within the whole crypto world that truly centers around people and not profit. Thank you for your support and collaboration.
