"The day we began our hunger strike was the day we were victories, because we were not seized by fear nor despair"
- Qesser Zuhrah, currently on Day 47 of her hunger strike
I am gravely concerned by the Government’s ongoing position on the hunger strike.
Since I raised the 8 prisoners’ plight in Parliament yesterday, the Government said they ‘do not treat prisoners any differently from any other’.
If that is the case, why are they being held on remand, beyond the Custody Time Limits?
Last weekend, I spoke to 28-year old Kamran Ahmed who has been hospitalised twice. His situation is dire. They need our help.
The Government will be held responsible if these people die in prison without ever having been convicted or put on trial.
The prisoners have rights enshrined in law. The Government must act, now!
BREAKING: The Ministry of Justice has been sprayed with red paint, in solidarity with the hunger strikers.
Today is day 40 of the collective hunger strike, which eight prisoners for Palestine are taking part in.
David Lammy must urgently accept a meeting.
This is an emergency.
Israel wiped Gaza from the face of the earth.
They could only do this because the West facilitated it from start to end.
But there will be a reckoning.
And those who did this will pay for what they did.

ICC must begin investigating and, I believe, indicting British ministers—including Starmer and Sunak—for ordering UK participation in the crimes it’s already indicted Netanyahu and Gallant for.
UK role has been extensive. Legal institutions must respond👇

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese once again nails it:
•It is not a ‘war’, there are not two armies;
•This is a settler, colonial occupation;
•It is a genocide and needs to end now.
Stop arming Israel 🇮🇱 today
Recognise Palestine 🇵🇸 before it’s too late.
Look at the totality of Israel's conduct, in the totality of the land it unlawfully occupies, against the totality of the Palestinian people living there. And when you see how children, in particular, are targeted in so many depraved ways - through killing, maiming, starving, torture, terror, depriving them of schools, dreams, future, hope - you see the destructive mind and intent at work, in the realization of a plan that comes from afar.
I helped work on the Khmer Rouge tribunals in Cambodia where we got convictions of gen0cide and crimes against humanity. And this was without REAL TIME STREAMING of every single atrocity committed. This was without the perpetrators uploading their crimes to social media. This was without the entire world witnessing the eradication of millions of Cambodian citizens before our eyes. Yet still, with EVERYTHING WE HAVE - we will have no trial, arrest warrants or consequences. With all the “great power” blocking every and any move for justice. Shame.

If you hear any words today. Let them
Be this. @FranceskAlbs speaking truth to power. As the United Nations Special Rapporteur, here she is passionately condemning the global community's silence and lack of empathy for the Palestinian people. United we stand 🕊️
“Empathy is the glue that makes us stand united in humanity. If you don’t act for the Palestinians you will become irrelevant to the world. The only way to comply with international law is imposing sanctions against Israel. May this be the last genocide in human history.”
Powerful words from @FranceskAlbs after presenting her latest report on Israel’s genocide at the UN
