The New Britain Museum of American Art presents a year-long series exhibitions devoted exclusively to women artists worldwide. The exhibit strived to challenge underrepresentation and diversity in the art world. Artists featured include Kara Walker, Yoko Ono, and Carrie Mae Weems

Michaela DePrince is a Sierra-Leonean born American ballet dancer known for her upbringing in the ballet world. She studied ballet at a variety of schools. She wrote the publication of her memoir to raise awareness on opportunities for black women in the classic ballet world.#WCW
