Breaking: An $NB spokesperson tells Hunterbrook that Niocorp’s CEO has been invited to the White House for Friday’s event on rare earths — and plans to attend.
Aug 4 (Reuters) - @LockheedMartin is in talks to buy supplies of two critical minerals from U.S. mines, two sources familiar with the discussions said, as President Donald Trump pressures defense contractors to cut reliance on China.
The world's largest defense contractor is negotiating with @NioCorp for supply of scandium, and @TeckResources and 5N Plus for supply of germanium, both of which are used in military equipment ranging from aircraft components to infrared sensors, the sources said. $NB $TECK $VNB
Almost a year later, Reuters is now reporting that Lockeed Martin is negotiating with @NioCorp $NB for a scandium supply.
Apparently $NB will be providing Lockeed with 15 metric tons of scandium annually.
Important to note the company is still awaiting DFS and EXIM funding. They won’t be operational for a few years once they secure funding.
Rumor has it @NioCorp will also be at the White House mining event on Friday.

@cekdrew@NioCorp Not a rumor. Confirmed invite via Jim Sims. Would not elaborate beyond invite. Guessing Lockheed has seen some bits of DFS allowing it the confidence to release headline. But now we wait.
$BE Bloom Energy: Hunterbrook Discloses Short Position, Alleges China Supply Chain Reliance
• Hunterbrook disclosed it is short Bloom Energy and long $NB.
• Hunterbrook alleged Bloom Energy relies on Chinese scandium despite CEO claims that the company has no China supply chain.
$BE | Hunterbrook on Bloom Energy on Wednesday:
Based on Hunterbrook Media’s reporting, at the time of publication Hunterbrook Capital is short $BE including derivatives and long a basket of comparable securities, as well as long $NB including derivatives and short a basket of comparable securities.
The fact that there is not enough Scandium supply in the world to support $BE fulfilling their obligations has come across in my research the last few months and was a piece of my puzzle on why $FCEL could win more orders in the data center market, as they do not have Scandium in their BOM.
Fantastic report from the Hunterbrook team and worth investigating.

@hntrbrkmedia Just wait until $NB unleashes a few of their upcoming catalyst 😉. Updated DFS any day now, unbinding to formal binding agreements with Traxys and @EximBankUS funding later 2026. Could be an epic event IMO
