@TonyMancini_NS I don’t expect people not from here to understand, when you could go downtown,stop in front of your favourite restaurant,then stop in at Scotia square and shop,run down to Sam the record man. On the way home stop for take out and then the liquor store.275 parking ticket lastnight

@TonyMancini_NS I don’t think so, it’s only alive because of the junior hockey, it will be a ghost town again when it’s over. Who wants to go downtown now, no parking because of bike and bus lanes. No one want to pay for parking just to go eat or shop. I was born and raised in Halifax and know.

@stayathomexwife @CTVAtlantic Sorry,one more rant, we want people to visit and shop downtown but case in point a couple that wanted to come to Halifax for a week and stay downtown booked a great hotel but didn’t include parking, parking for them will be $105.00-$175.00 extra for the week.

@stayathomexwife @CTVAtlantic For bikes it wouldn’t be share the road it would be share the sidewalk, there are more than a few occasions I had to get out of the way for cyclists on the sidewalk, let make a safe shared sidewalk giving the streets back a lane this will let traffic flow much better.

@stayathomexwife @CTVAtlantic Growing up in Halifax when there was 200,000 less population was bad enough for traffic and now we want to grow 200,000 more but are eliminating lanes for bikes and buses (parking) I don’t see the logic,we are going backwards.

@stayathomexwife @CTVAtlantic No one stops behind a bus when it stops, it is over the yellow line and go around it (not really safe) eliminate the bus lane traffic will flow better all bus stops have there jet in so this will let twice as much traffic flow.
