Today Canada elected the first-ever Black Speaker in the House of Commons, and a First Nations Premier for the Province of Manitoba.
Representation matters.
Today is a good day for democracy.

@Deniseasteele I was at QEH Sunday night and the board said we’d be 8-10 hours; we were in and out in under 6. They were short staffed and overworked but so kind and I was very grateful to not have a full all nighter with an injured kid 💔
@theyarekal I literally signed a consent form last week permitting my 6th grader to attend Sex Ed class. The dates were clearly communicated if I wanted to keep him home and the form had an option for me to check if I wished that other arrangements be made for him during that time.
Thanks to the D13 & D12 candidates who spoke at my kids’ school. My 6th grader proudly cast his vote today for the voice that resonated the most with him in the school’s election (and I did too, but for real) @karlabernardD12@RobLantz@MichNeill@PEILiberalParty Sandra Sunil
My mind is made up! Not the direction I thought I was going to go in, but I contacted my local candidates with a pressing concern of mine and the responses & lack thereof have sealed the deal for me #peipoli
