@Health_Baron@Drfelixobi Thanks for your input but the last paragraph could have ended without accusing the young doctors in my opinion- what if she refills without specialist reviews?
What if the social media patient doesn’t really exist?
HIV can hide its genetic instructions inside the very cells meant to protect us.
It converts its RNA into DNA, then inserts that DNA into our immune cells’ chromosomes. Some infected CD4 cells become dormant, forming a latent reservoir that can survive for years.
While silent, these cells are hard for the immune system to recognise. Antiretroviral therapy blocks viral replication but cannot remove the HIV DNA already hidden inside them.
So an undetectable blood viral load doesn’t mean that reservoir is gone. If treatment stops, those cells can reactivate and produce HIV again. This is a major barrier to a routine cure.
Effective treatment allows long, healthy lives. Maintaining an undetectable viral load also means zero risk of passing HIV through sex: U=U.

You take ONE dose. Hours later, the kidneys begin to fail.

How does it happen?
if a pregnant woman is unresponsive after CPR for 5 minutes... the doctors will open her up on the spot, even if they aren't in the theatre... and bring out the baby... without anaesthesia.
it is to actually save the mother... not even the baby👀👀💀... because the baby is pressing on the large blood vessels taking blood to the brain and heart...
this is called perimortem c/section
I finally understand why @PeterObi keeps investing heavily in nursing schools.
Guys, Nigeria needs far more investment in healthcare.
My eyes have seen what my mouth can barely describe because today marks the sixth day my 79-year-old dad has spent in a general hospital.
I suspected he was having a stroke and rushed him to the emergency department, which is just a 3–5 minute drive from my house. We arrived at exactly 2:14 p.m.
He wasn't seen by a doctor until a few minutes after 6 p.m.
That only happened because I called someone I know who works there, and she intervened.
His treatment eventually started after 7 p.m. — on a chair.
Several patients were receiving drips while seated because the emergency unit was completely overwhelmed.
My 79-year-old father sat on a chair while receiving three drips. I had to bring a pillow and even a chair from my house just to make him a little more comfortable.
Watching him in that condition changed something in me.
It wasn't until 6 a.m. the following morning that he was given a stretcher to lie on, and only later that day was he finally moved to a proper hospital bed.
I'm sharing this to paint a picture of the reality many Nigerians face.
The needs I witnessed were enormous:
1. Severe shortage of staff — porters, cleaners, nurses and doctors.
2. Inadequate space and far too few beds.
3. Old, worn-out wheelchairs and stretchers.
4. Frequent shortages of basic consumables like hand gloves.
To our wealthy individuals, celebrities and everyone blessed with more than enough: if you're wondering what meaningful gift to give on your birthday or during a celebration, please consider supporting a general hospital or primary healthcare centre.
These are the places many ordinary Nigerians turn to when they have nowhere else to go. They are not free, but they are still more affordable than most private hospitals.
Please support our public hospitals. A donation of equipment, supplies or funds could make the difference between suffering and dignity for someone else's father, mother or child.
Thank you.
The correct answer is C Testicular Cancer.
1. For almost any other tumor, a biopsy is the absolute gold standard to confirm cancer before starting treatment. But with testicular cancer, sticking a needle into the mass through the scrotum is strictly forbidden because it can cause the tumor to seed and spread.
2. The reason comes down to embryology. When a male fetus develops, the testicles actually start growing high up inside the abdomen near the kidneys. As they descend into the scrotum before birth, they drag their original blood vessels and lymphatic drainage pathways down with them, routing back up into the deep abdomen.
3. The skin of the scrotum itself has a completely different drainage system that flows to the groin nodes. If you perform a needle biopsy through the scrotum, you disrupt these natural anatomical barriers and spill cancer cells directly into the scrotal tissues.
4. This creates an entirely new pathway for the cancer to spread to the groin, which completely ruins the chance for a clean surgical cure and alters the staging. Instead of a biopsy, doctors check blood tumor markers and ultrasound, then remove the entire testicle safely through an incision in the groin.

@adepentane@instablog9ja A man shouldn't be telling you this unless you've made it a competing to rub your resources on his face."
I beg to differ… What if the man is insecure or doesn’t want his wife to save towards a particular project?
@Sugar_Pops_ Most patients prefer to go outside to another round of queue.
What if she meets a quack who changes the prescription at an unknown outlet?
An oversabi can even start clerking afresh to prove the point of changing the drug- na the same thing.
Practice in Nigeria is another matter
Why do you need a doctor?
Forget the banger habits of doctors online.
Our training is not a joke.
Anyone can prescribe ointment for your rash, but only a doctor knows if that rash is heat rash, dermatitis, allergy, impetigo, fungi, autoimmune rash or cancer.
Anyone can give you cough syrup, but only a doctor can tell if it's pneumonia, tonsillitis, allergy, a reaction, cancer, fluid buildup, asthma and more.
Stop gambling with your life.
If you're sick, go and see a doctor.

We all know imbeciles and the most common narrative we often hear is that the family sold him/her to make money.
Let me tell you how you create imbeciles
Mme. Your labour is not progressing well. We'll need to operate you.
God forbid. I'll give birth like a Hebrew woman.
But mme. There's not much time for your baby. It won't be good if we waste time. I've explained everything to your husband, and he has no issues with surgery.
Let me call my pastor first.
Pastor: I'm on my way. (Meanwhile, pastor went to the farm.). Pastor has to go home, bathe, then come.
It took 2 hours. Labour hasn't progressed, and the baby isn't fine, but the mother wants to give birth vaginally.
Pastor prays again for about 30 minutes.
He later persuaded the woman to accept surgery, but it was too late for the baby.
Blood flow to the baby's brain was interrupted long enough to cause irreversible damage.
Junior is now 6 years old but behaving like a 2 year old.
That's cerebral palsy, and it can be avoided.
