i worked as a pa for almost a decade, producers have trained themselves to criminally lowball labor and services in their budgets bc that is how they get reputations in the industry as being good at their jobs!
itโs actually not really lol once got paid $450 a day to be a set dresser for a crate and barrel ad, granted the revenue they made from said ad likely dwarfs the fat one time check i got! productions decide the worth of your labor based on their budget not the other way around
on the other hand, i got half that rate to work wardrobe and art simultaneously on a set that promised me points when the pilot sold, the pilot is now being spliced into smaller episodes released on a partially paywalled substack and i have not received a cent! hollywood baby!
