@RedWallPleb Has more to do with the exchange rate. Mid 90s 7 Polish zloties to the pound. By 2014 the rate had dropped significantly. Check any currency exchange charts. When you realise the wages in Poland were 7 times lower than average in the UK. It’s easy to see why Poland boomed.
