If you want to start a garden but are worried about the weather, don’t be! Herbs can be grown inside during cold months and moved outdoors once the weather gets warmer. It saves a trip to the store, and it’s satisfying to grow your own plants.
Not only do already grown herbs use unnecessary packaging and processing materials, the resources needed to transport these plants contribute to carbon waste: “it is estimated that an average distance of 1,500 miles is traveled before the food is consumed”.
