@cruzandorio@rohindhar I still have friends there but I think it would suck to be surrounded by just rich people with expensive tastes because no one else can afford it
@EyalMelamed@CoreyWriting It feels to me that in Israel today, Judaism has turned against itself and is unrecognizable. You're letting the worst instincts humanity can have run rampant, and debasing yourselves to beyond the level of your opponents.
@EyalMelamed@CoreyWriting And don't ever try to replace the face of Israel now, which is Ben Gvir, with this woman whose death is a tragedy, it's far too late for that. Israel itself has destroyed any residual sympathy we may have had for the tragedy of October 7. Own your crimes.
@EyalMelamed@CoreyWriting And your point is? Anything I didn't address already? I know that Hamas are terrorists and what they did is unforgivable. It's equally unforgivable what they did to the Gazans themselves, knowing that Gazans are also their hostages who will now be pounded by Israel's humanity.
@isaiah_bb@maoisthnvx_25 Gaza was of course a huge issue in 2024. I was repulsed by Biden's handling of it and deeply hurt by Kamala's erasure of it after standing next to Netanyahu and saying "I will not be silent." But his last sentence is objectively correct, the election was decided by Clavicular.
@EyalMelamed@CoreyWriting Just basic acknowledgment of Palestinian humanity! That was so hard to find at the time, and still is hard to find. Mainstream Americans need to know that the typical Gazan is not Hamas and they are suffering from this war worse than anyone. That's it!
@EyalMelamed@CoreyWriting I voted for her but not happily. All she had to do was put a Palestinian with family in Gaza on stage at the DNC side-by-side within an Israeli hostage family member to talk about the common humanity harmed by war, and meet with Palestinians in Michigan which Trump did BTW.
@johnastoehr We're living through a transformation deeper than that. The political changes we'll be going through over the next 2-3 years will be permanent for the next couple of generations, similar to the Reagan Revolution. He's saying exactly the right thing for the moment.
@RozRozlowe@tweetMalena Interestingly it "built on a similar position from predecessor Kamala Harris's office." So Kamala is a racist too? I agree that the position is both foolish and reprehensible, but apparently not racist in intent.
@tweetMalena@axidentaliberal Tom Steyer is the only billionaire who's ever shook my hand, but it was a political event and he was already campaigning (this was seven years ago), so I guess he had to and it doesn't count.
