On to more positive things. This soup is all home grown; a crown prince squash, a couple of white onions and some garlic cloves; roasted, then blitzed with some stock. Earthy and stock. A couple of days lunches for two.

I broke my dry-Jan yesterday; pals peer pressure and the OH saying I'll have one of you do, knowing he really wanted some vino.
I wish I hadn't. Had an night; hot and restless. Could have been a few stray hormones too, but I may just stay dry forever. I've not missed it.

The winner was goats #cheese, and we found some pea shoots to add some leafyness. What amazing tastes. And thanks to my inability to estimate, there's plenty of #leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

At the weekend I discovered green (French style) lentils. I can't get enough of them. Lovely #beetroot, #sweetpotato and #lentil salad for tea tonight. But do I top it with #goatscheese or #feta? It will depend on my local supermarket as I pass on my 30 minute #briskwalk

Today is #hungryMonday trying hard to make good choices: #apple, slice of #wholemeal bread, a poached egg, 3 @Babybel lights, a #banana, a bag of @walkers_crisps Bakes. 1 cup of lemon water, 1 large hot @vimto, 2 pints of @PepsiMaxUK more of #brunch than a #breakfast or #lunch.

You cannot beat a #cuppa after a nice #walk, while sitting out #enjoying the #january #sun. And this pot had enough for six #cups!

Love the #weekend. Yesterday's #walk was so good and I can still feel the benefit this morning #Breakfast of an #apple and #lemon #water, now off for a walk in the #woods. Got my trusty #camera and bag of bird food to temp my muses. I feel #amazing

I won't tell you about the enormous #custard and cherry puff I had in the #Coffeeshop afterward. Good intention, plenty of activity. I won't beat myself up too much.

@FreshFood_Cafe just stopped at Sandbach @Roadchef ordered porridge. Front of the line, 2 staff, 1 with hair handing over face that she kept touching. 🤨
Staff disappeared out back. After over 5 min no sign of my order. I had to go. Keep the £1. Won't be eating with you again.

@CostaCoffee waiting to be served in store. All staff rushing to fulfil remote orders. No service for real customers. Staff snotty as they can't view #trackandtrace I competed in line 5 minutes ago. 😑 Order incomplete. Poor service!

Following my yearly nil-by-mouth MRI, I popped into my local #Subway for lunch. Completely humiliated by arrogant staff member who misheard my order for 9-grain seeded and felt the need to point out there are 2 9-grain subs. I had a mask on, he didnt. Is it possible he misheard?
