@_PeyriDoherty@anakinsdream 2/2 at the beginning of ROTS it's pretty clear Anakin is far stronger than everyone on the council. By other narrative statements and absolutely destroying Dooku. Yoda holds no emotional connection to Ani like Obi-Wan, invisible hand Anakin is enough. KF Vader is overkill
@_PeyriDoherty@anakinsdream He only lost to Obi Wan contextually, George and a bunch of other narrative statements made it apparent that he lost circumstantially. To the environment, being mentally conflicted with rage and emotions, over confident, and not fighting like his usual self when Obi wan arrived.
@AnalystFTW@Irenicus67@thequannnic Haha for sure, but please stay away from tik tok you’d rip your your hair out. Do yourself a favor. I lose my mind defending Tobey on there almost everyday from these guys
The Raimi criticism regarding ruining the perception and “characterization” of Spider-Man in any media to come afterwards is totally a valid critique, but where's the criticism for Holland who literally doubled down on the mischaracterization, and inaccuracies but far worse?
aw man, he doesn't have to be the perfect human being and a role model. the point is that he has flaws. he has an inconsistent life, he's got anger issues, he's impulsive and might say things that hurt others when over his mind. he's not this church boy they've been writing
@DiscussingFilm This might actually be the final straw substantiating that Holland's adaptation of the character isn't a good one and not faithful or comic-accurate.
@potato4infamous@AnotherHGL lol no it’s just disingenuous, does me pointing out the inaccuracies and mischaracterization in both iterations hurt yours?
@potato4infamous Not really bias? Tobey still has a mythos, his cast of characters. He still encompasses the 616 characterization more accurately than Tom. Again I criticize Tom and Tobey equally but the reality is the Raimi trilogy tried to stay more faithful
@Ultra__Mayhem it’s crazy how any of Peter’s worst moments are blamed on the creatives, but MJ’s worst moments are treated as if she’s a real human being who chose to do the things she did. Joe Quesada had Peter sell his marriage to the devil but MJ chose to date Paul
@fidalgo_ab92674 You’d be surprised, but it’s not even that just the unnecessary defending and glaze or infantilization of Peter in general in any adaptation
