" By the all-powerful dispensations of Providence, I have been protected beyond all human probability and expectation; for I had four bullets through my coat, and two horses shot under me, yet escaped unhurt, altho' death was levelling my companions on every side. "

@TNTJohn1717 And feelings may not even be "weather". God will withdraw feeling to give us the opportunity to walk in a greater maturity - that we may walk out in faith things he's already revealed to us - what we know to be true (regardless of our current sense on the matter).
@techhsiren Luke 14:28 "For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?"
Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me..."
@AgainstAtheismX God looks upon the heart. He will judge all rightly, including yourself, and has perfect knowledge. When he looks upon you & your heart, does he see an earnestness and eagerness to know what is true and good? And will you choose humility before for an all-knowing God?
๐จโผ๏ธEverybody has a Jesus. The Muslim has a prophet named Jesus. The Jehovahโs Witness has an angel called Jesus. The Mormon has a spirit brother named Jesus. The liberal has a social reformer named Jesus. The devil does not mind you having a Jesus, as long as it is โanother Jesusโ who cannot save you.
The King James Bible refuses every reduction: โthe Word was God,โ โall things were made by him,โ and โGod was manifest in the flesh.โ If your Jesus had a beginning, he belongs to the creation and needs a Creator himself. The carpenter of Nazareth did not begin in Bethlehem; He built the universe before Bethlehem existed.
The identity of Christ is not a theological side issue for scholars to rearrange between coffee breaks. A created being cannot bear an infinite debt, forgive sins committed against God, receive the worship of heaven, or purchase the Church with Godโs โown blood.โ A smaller Jesus always produces a smaller cross, and a smaller cross cannot save a sinner.
Jesus Christ is not merely like God, close to God, sent by God, or promoted by God. He is God manifest in the flesh, the great โI AM,โ the Lord of glory, and the King before whom every knee will bow. You may bow before Him now as Saviour or later as Judge, but every knee is going down.
