A traveling pastor and his wife in Tennessee were found guilty of child sex crimes.

Benjamin Garlick, 35, was convicted on 7 counts of aggravated rape of a child, 6 counts of aggravated sexual battery, 1 count of solicitation of a minor, and 2 counts of violating the Child Protection Act. He was sentenced to life without parole for the aggravated rape charges.

His wife Shaantal Garlick, 32, was found guilty of 2 counts of facilitating aggravated rape of a child and 2 counts of aggravated child neglect. She will be sentenced in November.

The Garlicks were evangelist predators using religion to prey on Spanish-speaking communities. At least 3 victims between the ages of 5 and 8 years old have been identified.

They operated out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, traveling nationwide as part of a ministry aimed at Latinos and immigrant communities.

The couple moved around the USA extensively to conduct guest sermons and run youth programs across states like Texas, Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, and Minnesota, primarily in Spanish-speaking congregations.

Investigators believe there could be more victims that haven't come forward yet.

My mom died when i was born
My dad drank himself to death when I was 17, I found him dead in my grandma's guest bedroom
At 13 I found my uncle dead in his trailer, not too much longer after that my other uncle died sitting up in his truck from alcohol
I lived with my grandparents growing up, I watched my grandfather SUFFER with lung cancer from smoking, I knew he was about to die but finding him dead hit me worse than anything, then finally at 25 my grandma, the lady who raised me died, iv literally watched everyone i loved die, it fucked me up, i did ALOT of drugs and have spent a few years in prison
BUT!
NONE of these things made me want to go out and hurt others, especially take innocent peoples lives
