John Knox returned to Scotland after years of exile on the European continent. Strengthened by his time in Calvinβs Geneva, he quickly became the leading voice of the Scottish Reformation. With fiery preaching, Knox challenged Roman Catholic authority and played a central role in establishing Presbyterian church government in Scotland.
