i highly recommend you find yourself a clingy (healthy) lovey dovey partner who’s super excited about you. life is too short to spend it with someone who act like showing love is a chore.
Dear @Jessseglee my guy,
He Who Feeds You, Controls You The Uncomfortable Facts About GMOs.
While I don't support insulting and using vile words against health practitioners who have been so immensely helpful over the years...
I took time, yesterday to dissect facts and research about these concerns. There are things we can't just brush aside.
THE TRUTH: THERE ARE BENEFITS, THERE ARE GREATER RISKS.
I have been thinking, and when I think, I like to peel away the layers carefully, deliberately, and without the sentimental frenzy that often comes with public debates. The ongoing argument about the long-term safety of genetically modified organisms...GMOs...is valid. And yes, it is also about economics, about who feeds us and, therefore, who controls us.
I have read, and I have combed through research, and I have tried to understand it in ways familiar to me. I am an Obgyn doctor, after all, and I understand science better when I can place it next to something I know intimately. So, I think of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). IVF still respects nature...it simply assists; it does not alter genetic makeup. PGD does not make a new human; it only checks for abnormalities. But GMOs? GMOs are something else entirely. They happen in a laboratory, where genes are moved like chess pieces...taking a trait from one organism and forcing it into another, conferring a new quality, a new identity, a new… power.
While there are benefits of GMOs like infusion of important nutrients into seeds and making it more resistant and increase productivity... we can't overlook the Long term effects... environmentally, and even health wise, allergic reactions, antibiotics resistance and possible long term effects.
And please, let us be clear: what our forefathers did was cross-breeding, not genetic modification. Cross-breeding is nature flirting with nature. Genetic modification is science making nature bend, sometimes unnaturally, to its will.
Now, is modification itself bad? No. It shouldn’t be. The conversation should never be about whether GMOs are “good” or “evil.” It should be about their effect.
Do they help more than they harm? Do they nourish or do they enslave?
And this is where I worry.
When you look at it from a health, environmental, biodiversity, and socio-economic perspective, the risks...oh, the risks...loom large. GMOs breed dependency. And dependency means control. Because he who feeds you, controls you.
If maany developed nations, with all their resources, are saying “No” to GMOs, should we not pause and ask, “Why?” If Africa has historically been spared some of the rare syndromes prevalent in the West, should we not wonder whether this relentless push for GMOs might tip that balance?
And then there is Bill Gates. His insistence on GMOs will always carry a shadow of suspicion. And yes, Nigerians are right to ask questions. Why can he not focus on mechanised farming, on improving exports, on supporting local farmers? Why this obsession with seeds?
I understand the anger, but I do not endorse the insults. People who disagree with GMOs are not ignorant villagers; they are people with valid fears.
Personally, I think technology has better roles to play in African agriculture than altering the DNA of our food. But I also think...no, I know...that the people’s concerns deserve respect. Because in the end, this is not just about science; it is about sovereignty.
And sovereignty, like dignity, is not something you trade for modified maize.
It's taken me years to confess that I would rather be alone than settle. The truth is, I cannot stand the taste of in-betweens.
Half-measures will never be a part of me and contentment will never be my currency.
If it cannot fill me up to the brim, I don't want it.

I woke up with my husband on Saturday
When it was time to pray, we had this explosive prayer and devotion time
It was so powerful we didn’t want to stop
Usually our prayer time is awesome but this one hit different
And then I remembered.
The Night before, we were watching short clips of anointed minsters sharing the word
We watched that untill we slept off
And so the next morning, it was like someone lit a match around petrol.
There was such an outburst of spiritual energy

Dear child of God,
If there is one secret I can share with you as to how I’ve been able to keep fired up in this crazy world,
It’s by making sure my environment is always full of “spiritual stuff”
Powerful worship in the background somewhere
Spirit loaded messages blasting in betweeen my day
Following pages that always share inspiration notes and quotes
This was my way as a single lady
Back then in school, my headphones constantly on, I would listened to volumes and volumes of messages and inspired word
And I’m so glad I carried this into marriage too because it works wonders
Your spiritual health is directly proportional to your spiritual diet?
What do you feed on???
What do you look at??
What do you listen to??
This things is not magic
If you don’t give yourself to the things of God, God cannot give Himself to you
If you’re not listening out for Him, you’ll never hear Him speak
You can’t eat Junk and be healthy
God is not partial
God is not choosing to walk with others and leaving you out
Check your diet!

Dear Christian,
There’s the story of a particular man in the bible that we know but don’t look at his life completely so we’ve never really understood the sad and pitiable life he lived. Sadly some of us are falling into this trap. Let’s talk about LOT. Gen 11-19
