The entire trucking industry, asset owners, drivers, planners, dispatchers, and yes, even the brokers, is about to get replaced by a few servers humming in a warehouse somewhere. The end isn't near... it's already idling in the parking lot with no driver, perfect load match, and zero attitude.
@EOSTrucking Is that including fuel or only linehaul? Either way unless you are serving a less compatative region, you are going to lose those lanes as soon as shipper can find a better deal.
@SalsaTrump@azforeman Islam brought to Iran by the Qadisiyyah war, after killing thousands of persians and forcing them to change their language and religion. Thousands of Iranians actually fled Iran and left for India and still live there.
@FreightAlley Mini bids wont go away, thry are one of the tools at shippers disposalto vibe check the market. Worst case they'll stay with the incumbent.
@ArmchairAtty Meduim to large shippers are in the same market environment as carriers. Finding bad actors is not that complicated and the intense competition among carriers make it easier.
@supertrucker Imagin how longer it would take for truckers to get there if they werent paid by miles! Truckers already charge detention fee for extended waitings.
Large companies already have their vetted brokers on the book. No effect on those relationships or rates. No need for a department. Many brokers are just 2 guys sitting behind a phone and calling carriers to find a truck in their prefered price range. Large companies can defenietly do that.
Supreme Court, 9-0 ruling: Freight brokers can be sued for hiring unsafe carriers. Ruling covers negligent selection of trucking companies using unqualified or illegal drivers who cause crashes.
