Mr. King:
I wanted to use this platform to do something I never thought I’d be able to do thirty years ago, when I was reading at least thirty of your books one after another: to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all those countless hours of magic, pure enjoyment, and that delicious terror I felt every single day.
Whether I was holding the book on the bus, on the subway, in the university library, or alone in my room, I was completely immersed in that unmistakable and extraordinary universe you created.
Thank you for It, The Tommyknockers, Cujo, The Shining, Carrie, ’Salem’s Lot, Misery, Gerald’s Game, Pet Sematary, Needful Things, The Running Man and so many others.
I really hope you get the chance to read this. You have no idea how much you taught and helped that teenager. Above all, you showed me how to be a good person and how important it is to face your fears.
Thank you so much.
@StephenKing whatever happened to Derry after IT was destroyed? Did Derry go back to normal? Did it stay the same strange, messed up town? I need to know!
@StarbucksCanada , should a staff member who works hard, shows up, and does their job really well, get their hours drastically cut for “budgetary reasons”?!? chime in everyone!!
WHAT THE HELL?! Gunther and young Miss Rosen are dead?! I thought they only drank wine!!! Young and in love, and terrified of the future…of being separated…terrified of the camps. Ugh my heart 😩
Wait wait wait. They couldn’t even stock up on supplies while they were docked?! And now the USA is denying them entry?! What kind of barbaric tyranny is this?!
Oof. Captain has just been informed that his passengers were never going to be able to disembark. You can tell from his facial expression he is just absolutely heartbroken for them. And himself.
Mr. Rosen has had some sort of psychotic break and is covered in blood babbling on deck. Faye Dunaway naturally ends up being shoved and also covered in his blood. Cabin fever really is a thing. His poor family
