Like all the replies in this thread, I can list many ways Ivan has been used to share a story in my district: one book, one school; classroom read alouds; small groups; and soooooo many independent readers. So grateful for your persistence 💜🦍
Little-known fact: I almost gave up when I was writing IVAN. I remember standing over my trash can, trying to decide whether I should throw the manuscript away.
If you trust in your story, persist. It's worth the effort. ❤️
To celebrate today’s release of the paperback edition of REVENGE OF THE ENGINERDS, I’m giving away a whole bunch of copies!
EDUCATORS and LIBRARIANS:
RT/follow to enter to win 5 copies, PLUS 5 copies for each of three pals of your choosing!

For many years, readers have asked me to write a book about Ivan's good friend, Bob. I’m delighted to share that Bob is getting his very own story—watch my video interview with @MrSchuReads to learn about THE ONE AND ONLY BOB! 🐶🦍🐘 https://t.co/3YVDWDLKyy #TheOneAndOnlyBob
Every now and then a book comes along that we believe should be on every shelf—like the new picture book by @macbarnett and @jacobee, #TheImportantThingAboutMargaretWiseBrown. 🐰🌷
We love this book and are excited to present a special pre-order offer: https://t.co/SHuN2T17i3
The idea in your head is unique to you - literally no one else CAN write it the way you would, so if you do not write, those characters never have the chance to live on the page. #WhyIWrite
