They were all ganging up on Peter at some point, traveling interstate with escorts at Jude's beck and call, so this is very much revisionism to me maybe because their relationship with Jude failed so now they've started siding with Peter.

One thing is clear, Peter's story has all the emotional elements, but how exactly did he become the black sheep of his whole family and, by extension, P-Square?

The obvious answer is his rebellious tendency.

Among the brothers, he's the one who had a child outside marriage, the one who married a woman older than him...much older and the one most willing to challenge the family hierarchy.

And context matters. This is/was a very Christian, traditional Igbo family, especially for their generation. Back then, older siblings were almost treated like extensions of your parents, most times even more feared than your parents. You could raise your voice at your mother and get away with it, you try no such thing with your older siblings.

You cant even just call your older brother by his first name; it was Brother Jude, Sister Ngozi. With a significant age gap, you will even graduate to Aunty Ada or Uncle This-and-That. Whatever they say is gospel when you like it or not. The hierarchy was very real.

So having a child out of wedlock, marrying an older woman, and openly squaring up to an older sibling weren't small acts of rebellion in that environment. They carried a much heavier cultural weight than they would today.

And I'm not even saying Peter was wrong. I'm saying he may simply have been born into the wrong generation. He had a personality that wanted to challenge rules in a family and culture that placed enormous value on hierarchy and conformity.
