There are enough dog coins in crypto to fill a kennel, so what is it about @GoodCoinRH that makes good-in-the-hood:native stand out to me? 🤔

For me, it starts with a feeling.

Think about those nights when the crew is together, somebody’s cooking, music is playing, everyone’s laughing and life just feels good. Crypto has its own version of that too. The Spaces you somehow became a regular in, group chats that never sleep, communities you’ve been through the highs and lows with, and people you met because of a token who eventually became actual friends.

That’s where GOOD starts making sense to me.

The memetics are ridiculously natural. Good morning, good people, good times, looking good, feeling good, doing good. Everybody already knows what GOOD means, but more importantly, everybody knows what GOOD feels like.

Put that on Robinhood Chain and “GOOD in the Hood” practically writes itself.

But a great ticker only gets you so far, and that’s where I think @GoodCoinRH gets more interesting. GOOD has developed his own personality, look and identity. There’s an LLC behind the effort, IP has been filed, and the people building it seem conscious of the lines that come with building in a new financial ecosystem. From what I can see, they’re making a genuine effort to do things the right way while finding their place in what @vladtenev and @RobinhoodCrypto are building with Robinhood Chain.

There’s history behind GOOD too, and maybe I’m a little biased because those roots are pretty based. 😂 And I mean that both ways.

Some of the people and relationships around $GOOD trace back through $MIDAS on Base, so there are literal Base roots here. But “based” has always meant more to me than a chain. It’s being yourself, standing on what you believe in, supporting your people and not changing who you are because the timeline does.

That’s the kind of based culture I see carrying over into GOOD.

What started with some familiar relationships has grown into people from Base, Solana, DOGE, Robinhood Chain and completely different corners of CT finding their way into the same community. I think that matters because some of the best things crypto has given me never came from a chart. They came from the people I met because of one.

The Spaces that turned into friendships, ridiculous memes and inside jokes, watching people you care about win, and having those same people around when things weren’t going your way. Somewhere along the line, people you knew by a PFP and a handle became people you genuinely cared about.

That’s hard to put a value on, and maybe that’s why GOOD feels so natural to me. Underneath the ticker, the character, the IP and everything being built around it is something almost anyone can understand: good people, good memories and enjoying the good times while they’re here.

There will always be another chart to chase and another narrative having its moment, but finding a community where you genuinely enjoy the people around you is a lot harder to replace.

Maybe that’s what being $GOOD in the Hood is really about.
