cats are PURRING at frequencies associated with bone healing??? forests get absolutely incinerated and respond by growing FLOWERS??? dolphins literally invent NAMES for themselves and yell them across the ocean??? penguins are waddling around Antarctica looking for the PERFECT LITTLE ROCK to give their beloved???

CROWS REMEMBER YOUR FACE. THEY TELL OTHER CROWS ABOUT YOU. THEY TELL THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT YOU. YOU CAN HAVE GENERATIONAL BEEF WITH A BIRD.

goats have ACCENTS. rats GIGGLE when you tickle them. elephants mourn their dead. whales make SONGS and then OTHER WHALES LEARN THE SONG and suddenly everybody across the ocean is singing the new hit single.

monarch butterflies are born knowing how to fly thousands of miles to a place THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN. sea turtles hatch out of an egg, immediately sprint toward an OCEAN they have never seen, disappear into it for like THIRTY YEARS and then somehow come back to THE SAME BEACH???

birds can see COLORS THAT WE CANNOT SEE. there are colors happening RIGHT NOW that we don’t even get to know about.

there are sea slugs that eat algae and STEAL ITS CHLOROPLASTS and then are just like great thanks I’ll be PHOTOSYNTHESIZING NOW. there are mushrooms communicating underground. there are seeds sitting in the dirt for DECADES like no actually I will wait.

squirrels plant MILLIONS OF TREES because they simply cannot remember where they put their snacks.

A CATERPILLAR GOES INTO A LITTLE BAG, DISSOLVES MOST OF ITS BODY INTO ORGANIC SOUP, REARRANGES ITSELF, GROWS WINGS AND LEAVES.

and you’re telling me a tiny acorn knows how to become a 70-foot oak tree??? nobody tells it what to do??? it just has TREE INSTRUCTIONS INSIDE IT???

your body started as ONE CELL. ONE. and that cell divided itself into a brain that can think about its own existence and eyes that can look at stars and hands that can hold somebody else’s hands and a heart that runs on ELECTRICITY without you even asking it to???

BUILDING AFRICA’S NEXT GENERATION OF GLOBAL DIGITAL COMPANIES FROM NIGERIA

Nigeria has the talent, enterprise, and ambition to build companies that can compete anywhere in the world. Our responsibility as a government is to ensure that Nigerians do not have to leave Nigeria or rely on other jurisdictions to realise that potential.

For too long, some of our most promising young entrepreneurs have felt compelled to establish their companies and intellectual property abroad to access global capital and markets. I do not accept that this must remain the case.

I want the next generation of African technology, finance and service companies to be built, headquartered and scaled to the world from Nigerian soil.

On the road to this court ruling in favour of Nigeria today, some big men traveled to testify for Nigeria before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR - who strongly denied Sunrise's claim that a valid contract was approved/awarded to them in 2003 during his presidency (Fact: There was never a FEC approval for the project, but some high-level Prince-Adeyemi-style forgeries are alleged to have happened at the time)

Today, the rewards I promised our D’Tigress have been fully redeemed.

Each player has received the naira equivalent of $100,000, while each official has received the equivalent of $50,000, completing their package of cash rewards, national honours and three-bedroom homes in Abuja.

For the first time, a Federal Government has fulfilled this scale of presidential sporting rewards in full within one year. We had to follow the processes required by law and ensure that every commitment was properly implemented. That took time, but a promise made must be a promise kept.

We are also concluding the outstanding cash rewards for our Super Falcons.

The Super Falcons players and officials have already received the title documents to their house allocations and National Honours certificates. Likewise, the promise of houses and national honours I made to Super Eagles players has since been redeemed.

Our athletes who bring honour to Nigeria deserve more than applause. They deserve a country that keeps its word.

My promise to every Nigerian Athelete is make NIGERIA proud, and come back to a grateful Nation.

Left: heroin, fentanyl and cocaine addict, shooting every day, living on the streets.

Right: 769 days sober, learning to live a life I finally love.

My dad got me off the streets on July 21, 2024. I walked into detox at 49kg (108 lbs). Skin and bones, nothing else left. For more than half my life, I hated myself. I watched other people love being alive and couldn’t understand it. I was only ever surviving. Heroin and crack took everything, and I ended up on the streets as the exact person I swore I’d never become. Then fentanyl arrived and dying became normal. Friends took their last breath right in front of me. I od’d more times than I can count, woke up to Narcan again and again, always asking the same question: why am I still here? I tried quitting so many times. Detox, rehab, repeat. I always went back, because real change terrified me more than dying did.

Until one day I called my dad, crying. He came. Detox, then 18 months of long-term treatment. New state, new life, every old tie cut. Zero. Today I’m at peace. I love myself, the healthy way. I used to numb everything just to get through a day. Now I feel it all, the highs and the lows, and that’s exactly where the growth is. Of course I still have dark days. But it gets better, and I learned to deal with them instead of running. In the past, the smallest craving or wave of depression sent me straight back to using. Today I sit with it. I let it pass through me. And every time it does, I come out stronger than ever.

To my doctor, my therapists, and my parents: I owe you everything.
If I came back from that place, so can you. Keep going. There’s light on the other side. We do recover.

The re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the just-concluded Osun election is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our country under the All Progressives Congress administration.

I called Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 earlier today to congratulate him on his election victory in Osun State. His victory once again confirmed the confidence the people of Osun State have in him.

I wish him great success as he prepares to lead the state for the next four years. Now that he has won, Governor Adeleke must unite the people of Osun State and rally them for growth, stability, and social and economic progress, regardless of the political choices they made at the election.

I salute the courage and discipline displayed by other contestants in the election. Their participation deepened and enriched our country’s democratic culture. The outcome of the election reflects the will of the people and is a fitting assurance that democracy will continue to flourish in our land.

I must also commend the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agencies for conducting a peaceful and transparent election that produced a clear winner.

May our democracy continue to thrive and be strengthened
