@PatMcAfeeShow my aunt sent 2 videos of my cousin back in the day. The 1st one he’s in high school. Ky State record 80 yards. Pikeville High School. The 2nd one he’s punting for Pikeville College (NAIA) and just perfectly puts it in the corner pocket. Thought you’d love em!
From the 15th Region Tournament:
Despite having both feet on the three-point line, Lawrence County makes this “three” to send the game into overtime vs. Pikeville, and would go onto win 68-67.
2nd half spark off the bench from Pikeville's
"BIG 3" got the crowd and bench off their feet allowing Pikeville to start district play 1-0 defeating East Ridge!!
Thank you to @ebwalters2 for returning his copy of Larry Bird which was checked out prior to dismissal of in-person learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today we pay tribute to, and celebrate the life of, one of the most loyal Panther Alumni. Mr. Gene Davis was a 1949 graduate of Pikeville HS. The Athletic Department’s Lifetime Achievement Award is named in his honor.

The Mountains is blessed with a few really good “Bigs” but the one that has burst on the scene over the past 7-8 months is Pikeville C/PF EB Walters. EB played his first year of High School AAU with D&D Mountain Elite this Summer and grabbed the attention of quite a few College recruiters.
EB started the Summer by having a great showing against #1 “Big” Zion Blevins in a Chapmanville scrimmage, he used that momentum to go on and have an outstanding off-season. EB is a high energy post that gets a load of his points by being active around the rim. Walters can play with his back to the basket or play face up basketball, he has showed in the past he has a consistent outside shot when needed. This kid has a soft touch with good hands and great foot work, but his motor is what makes him special.
The things that impress me most is EB’s passing from the high post, he see’s the floor well for a “Big” and his competitive attitude, he’s a win at all cost player. Walters will help Pikeville get a lot of extra possessions every game because of the intensity he rebounds the basketball with, he accounts for quite a bit of second chance points.
Walters combined with 6’10 @cfitzer_ will give the Panthers a huge advantage this season, will be hard for anyone to matchup with the “twin towers”. Coaches need to check into this 2025er, he’s becoming a very hot commodity after his play with D&D Mountain Elite, and he will only get better with Coach Elisha Justice.
