@RevRichardColes Yes you just need to buy a "navigo easy" card at a staffed metro ticket office for €2 and then load a carnet of 10 tickets on it (this can be done when you buy it). Then you tap in at the barrier, but be quick, if you tap for too long the system blocks the barrier.
@PNovelistGale My Brummie grandma used to drink gin and lovage and lovage cordial is mentioned in "Peaky Blinders" when a character asks for a non-alcoholic drink in the pub. I guess you make it like elderflower cordial?
Great to see someone in a @StraffeKetten shirt in the audience at @Eurovision in Torino! Unfortunately only his beard came in shot! Anyone know who it was?
Our latest blog is a chance to get to know our lovely Tour Director Chris Bourne @ec1chris. Chris's #arthistory tours in 2022 include a trip to Vienna to look at #Klimt & fellow Secessionists, & a tour exploring the #PreRaphaelites in Oxford

@A_Luckmann @tepe_sialk @seanw_m He was a bit of a prodigy, joining Horta's office aged 18. Unfortunately his life was cut short by WW1. More pics of his buildings here https://t.co/tT38Dto7E9
@A_Luckmann @tepe_sialk @seanw_m Strauven really was brilliant at designing buildings for awkward sites: the St-Cyr house (on L) was squeezed into a 4m gap between two existing houses and his own house (on R) was fitted in the 3.75m banana-shaped gap left after he'd built & sold the corner building
@PNovelistGale Yes the novels are good, as Frank Tallis is a psychologist they go a bit more into the professional side of Max's involvement but the descriptions of Secessionist furniture and art are wonderfully faithfully followed by the TV set designers. I'd recommend them.
Pouring tens of millions into a show and then underpaying translators is like spending huge amounts on an oven without a door. It's so, so vital that their job is done well, especially in fiction -- they're literally creating culturally specific dialogue.

Very excited to hear ABBA are releasing their first studio album for 40 years. But here’s a thought (from a Moscow correspondent): what would ABBA sound like in the style of the Russian classics…? I came up with this. #Waterlooski@BBCNews@BBCWorld@BBCRadio2@BBCRadio3 @ABBA
@Susnah 9 years? I'd say 50/50 chance of it being ok, that said I just found a bottle of 1963 port in my Dad's loft, cork had gone and there was lots of sediment but once I'd filtered it through a coffee filter it was very drinkable!
@deadliftbear Good decision! On Wednesday I'm moving back to Birmingham, where I was born, to be closer to my parents who are needing more support. House removals companies and estate agents working as normal atm.
