Well done Spain. That was a shock win. France have been the best team at this World Cup. But just did not turn up tonight. As the match on, France got more low in confidence and motivation. Spain played more like a team tonight whilst France played as individuals
This was a tough England win in the end. Norway are a very physical team so this was bruising at times. England v Argentina semi final will be a different type of game as Argentina have better attacking players than Norway & tend to play more through the middle compared to Norway
Stones has come in for Quansah & reshuffle in defence to cover right back. I would have preferred Rashford and Saka instead of Madueke & Gordon. Stones will mark Haaland but if he struggles then bring on Burns later. Norway play a Premier League so England should be used to this
France v Spain should be a good semi final. Difficult to predict this one. France are clearly been the best team in the World Cup so far. But Spain have slowly been improving as the World Cup has progressed & appears they can move up a gear or two in the rest of the World Cup
France, Spain, England and Argentina should be the winners in the quarter finals. Therefore, expecting a France v Spain semi final and a England v Argentina semi final
This was an epic England win last night on an epic night at an iconic venue. A win for the ages, simply because of the circumstances in which it was constructed
England delivered one of their great World Cup victories last night. In fact one of their great victories full stop. Arguably their best since the World Cup was won at Wembley in 1966
England may struggle in the altitude in Mexico tomorrow night. Due to this altitude problem, I would park the bus and play on the counter attack. Kane on his own up front. Rashford, Saka and Bellingham behind him. Then Rice and Elliott Anderson as the two holding midfielders
My understanding is that there was a massive backlash from the Mexico FA and FIFA backed down. FIFA plan to change kick off made sense due to thunder warning. Interesting to see if thunder does happen and reaction from the Mexico team on this matter
I agree to this move to change the kick off time to 7pm UK time. It will help families in the UK as children can now watch it and will not disrupt the following school day
Is this the most racist World Cup ever? Difficult to answer that. But this World Cup has similarities with the 1936 Olympics. Trump is playing the "Hitler" role here. But the players and fans are fighting back against this racism in this World Cup similar to 1936 Olympics
Belgium tonight have produced one of the greatest comebacks of all time in the World Cup. Senegal cracked under pressure at the end of normal time and let Belgium back in it
England have struggled to beat Ghana, Panama & Congo. Mexico is next which will be a tough match. May be struggles in World Cup will prevent complacency & ensure that improvements occur based on weaknesses in these recent matches to help with later success at the World Cup
This Brazil team clearly have some fight in them and a "never say die" attitude. This is a morale boosting last minute winner. It should give Brazil the momentum and confidence to go onto win this World Cup
I'm a fan of hydration breaks as it helps with player welfare. Players of lesser countries may not be as good physically as the players from top countries so these breaks helps them. It also caters for American audiences who are used to frequent breaks in American football games
England should beat Congo. But then the round of 16 looks very tricky. I would continue with Saka and Rashford in the starting line up. Just believe that these are quality players that are likely to perform against quality opposition in the knock out stages of the World Cup
Good start for England at the World Cup. Croatia win makes England one of the favourites to win the World Cup. Kane and Bellingham will be the key England players. But I would play Rashford from the start too as I consider him a key England player too. Come on England!
