Full time, 1s edging a manic game 3-2. 2s deserved more but some things just aren’t to be, a great occasion for the club nevertheless. Until next season, 2s promotion party pending. #IFLF#COYBIB
ATTENTION! This match is so gripping that we have decided to live stream the last twenty five on our Instagram. @Emmanuelcollegefootball. Get watching.
OUCH! Remo and Phillips continuing their personal battle on the pitch as they both go for a loose ball, leaving both teams with ten men for the next thirty seconds.
GOAL. 2-1. Game once more on. Superb work from 2s stalwart Eradiri, who must be nearing his century of apps for the 2s, to play Varley through who does very well to jinx past Paris and smash the ball into the net with his weaker foot.
2s haven’t reacted well to that goal being chalked off, it seems. Getting a bit tasty. Phillips, Remo and Worrall the first, but surely not the last, to fall victim to this development.
Alright guys I must hold my hands up - apparently the 2s’ goal was actually ruled out after a VAR check and the score has actually been 1-0 to the 1s for the past twenty five minutes. Can only apologise but, in my defence, VAR has been ruining the game for a while now.
What have the 2s got then? Apparently quite a lot as they promptly head up the other end and sting Odeyemi’s gloves in goal from a shot from Worrall. Still 1-1.
GOAL! 1-1. Slightly fortunate for the 1s as the ball bounces back to Russell Lewis on the penalty box. The spritely playmaker does well to keep his head and slot into the bottom corner, though. Safe to say he looks made up with his first goal for the club:
End to end here as the 1s continue to press for an equaliser resulting in Golden rattling the post from close range. Not to be outdone, the 2s reply with another promising attack as Kaljee is sent through on goal but can only fire wide from a tough angle.
GOAL! Unbelievable scenes as the 2s take a surprise early lead through Pozzi after some delightful work on the wing to cut it back by Varley. Chaos reigns, however, as Varley appeared to be comfortably offside in the build-up. Due to a lack of resources, however... (1/2)
In a sickening turn of events Remo has reneged on his promise and turned up at Wilby ready to play. Complete lack of respect shown, and you’d think will only serve to fire up the 2s boys even more. Game on.
