That leaves two gubernatorial races yet to be voted up this fall: Kentucky and Mississippi, each of which has an incumbent running for reelection (Andy Beshear (D) in KY and Tate Reeves (R) in MS)
DYK there was a gubernatorial election yesterday? It was primary day in Louisiana, one of three states electing governors this year. Louisiana is the only open seat this year, with incumbent Governor John Bel Edwards (D) term limited.
For the first time since 2011, however, a run-off will not be necessary for governor of LA. Atty Gen Jeff Landry (R) won over 51% of the vote and will be declared the winner. This is a “pickup” for the Republicans, as he will replace the departing Democrat.
Join us on Wednesday November 15 at 7:00PM for a conversation with political theorist @dsallentess & @dinambar on the impact on A.I. on democracy.
A book signing with Dr. Allen will follow the conversation.
