I thought this was such an incredible interview by @LucyBronze to raise awareness for Autism and ADHD. Highly recommend having a watch! https://t.co/cYhGneNbty
I'm delighted to share that today is... my first day as a Lecturer at @NottmTrentUni 🥳. 5 years as an Academic Associate was so enjoyable and I'm so pleased to be continuing my journey with @PsychologyNTU. @AcademicChatter@PhDVoice
The good news is on a roll this week as… I’ve accepted my first lectureship position @PsychologyNTU 🥳! I’m so thrilled to stay a part of the NTU family. I love my job and I’m so pleased I get to continue to work with awesome people and students @NottmTrentUni.
So today I completed my first half marathon 🥳. With a serious knee injury this year, I didn’t think it was possibly as I only managed to get up to 8km. But with some people around me, I managed to get it done in 1hr 53 mins 🥳🥳🥳. Great break from the PhD 😂 @PhDVoice
Term starting at @PsychologyNTU only means one thing, it’s now bow tie and braces time 🥳🥳! Back on first year tutorials this year and excited to see our newbies 🤩! I’m just sorry they pulled the short straw and got the crazy lecturer 🤔. #soexcited
Such a great experience presenting my research on university hidden transitions at #BPSPES2024 as part of this symposium with the University of Manchester. Also, was a great excuse to dust off the bow tie and braces ready for the new term @PsychologyNTU 🥳.
Insightful consideration of both staged and non-staged educational and developmental transitions from the lovely @ola_demk @eccles1904@bethhannah64@rremediosva Caroline Ford and Sam Williams at our transitions symposium at #BPSPES2024
I couldn’t agree more with this! A fantastic talk by @DrErikaSpray. It was amazing to see consideration for first in family students and how we can not only further support them, but those that are close to them too, with the hope of facilitating success for all ☺️!
Fantastic presentation by @DrErikaSpray at #BPSPES2024 on how parents’ motivational messages relate to university students’ disposition towards learning. Some very useful implications when considering HE transitions for students in receipt of contextual offers.
So @PsychologyNTU are hosting a summer school this week and yours truly is part of the show, which means one thing, the bow tie and braces are back🥳! I'll be delivering positive & sport psychology and I genuinely can't wait! As much as I enjoy my PhD, I've missed this ☺️!
Present from one of my students ❤️. I often get told by students how much I’ve helped them, but what they might not realise is quite how much much they inspire me. Seeing them grow is such a privilege to see and I’m so pleased to play a small part in their journey ☺️! #lovemyjob
Drum roll… Transcription is finished 🤯! I’m delighted to reach this milestone after a few hefty challenges along the way! At the end of my final transcript, I came across a quote of mine, one that will be pinned up above my desk for next part of my PhD journey. @PhDVoice
Thank you Julie! It was great to present my 'Psychology in the park' concept and use the time to discuss how we bring innovation into our teaching. It helped by being surrounding by such a welcoming community!
Sport Psych exam day @PsychologyNTU, meaning I have to dress for the occasion. Typically anxiety follows when you mention exams, but it filled with me so much joy to see the students smile and laugh when they saw me. Whatever happens today, they're still my gang of superstars!
What can we bring to student learning that ChatGPT cannot? Well, #AI will never be able to replace some things. Learning in the sun with a dog by your side or learning with each other by knowing each other. @eccles1904 discusses Psychology in the Park! #ANTF2024
Back for day 2 🥳! It has been such a beautiful experience so far. Everyone has been so welcoming and I’ve received such positive feedback on my presentation ‘Psychology in the Park’. Can’t wait to meet more like minded people who want to make a difference. #ANTF2024
It's a bright sunny start in Nottingham today as we look forward to the start of Day 2 of #ANTF2024 Symposium. Welcome to everyone joining us today and welcome back to those who were with us yesterday! Event details at: https://t.co/kiHRocFXXz
@tavoer8 Thank you so much for the kind words Gustavo. I hope the talk can be an inspiration that the world is our oyster in regards to where we teach 🥳 (well, within the budget that is 😂).
