Here’s Ellwood City senior and Pitt recruit Aaron Lake after winning the WPIAL Class 3A title today. Lake was the winning pitcher and hit two doubles. But Ellwood City won the game on three consecutive bunts.

And Ellwood City takes 2-1 lead in bottom of the sixth of the WPIAL Class 3A championship on this bunt play by Jake Biskup and South Park error, allowing two runs to score to make it 2-1.
Ellwood followed with two more squeeze plays and RBI single to take 5-1 lead.
After two innings in WPIAL Class 3A championship, South Park leads Ellwood City, 1-0.
South Park's Cooper Hochendoner hit a solo homer in top of first. He's also pitching and struck out side in second.
Very nice crowd here for a 1 pm WPIAL 3A baseball championship between South Park and Ellwood City. Lots of students. Great to see.
I’ll say this EQT Park, home of Washington Wild Things, has turned into perfect place for WPIAL finals over the years.
