Alright, I do not usually shill stuff. But this one, and what they have been able to accomplish since its inception within only like 3 months has been incredible.

To be honest, let me started by reiterating the fact that I have been disheartened by the direction most ethereans have been taking mainly due to the hypocrisy of virtue signaling over experimental use cases while at the same time compromising on the values of what made Ethereum arguably the most decentralized blockchain today (building cool stuff accessible to all without prejudice to their background).

Well, there is one project that got me excited this year. And it is called Bario Entertainment System (aka @BaseBario) which brought the good old fun back to blockchain on @base.

I have been following Bario since its inception (I met the founder in what you call the trenches and what I prefer to call the dark forest over the years). It all started as a simple meme based on the character of Super Mario, which helped me spend most of my childhood happy with the fake on that imitation NES machine that my father bought for me in those 1-in-a-zillion games cartridges.

I never liked trading memecoins as I fail to see the value proposition they have. But I do see them as a fun way to onboard more people to blockchain. Hell, even back in the days, my first interactions with blockchain 1.0 started with me playing with some DOGE. And thanks to its wholesome community before Elon exploited it, I was able to learn how UTXO works way before I hopped into Ethereum. But as you might have guessed, there are two directions a memecoin can take. It can become a tool for gambling, a zero sum game, or it can fuel a thriving ecosystem by turning into a culture coin.

After the kind of abrupt and impromptu launch of $Bario, they have revealed their plans for BAES (short for Bario Entertainment System). That "Shut up and take my money" moment. And since inception, BAES has delivered a well-thought out plan with Bario DMG NFTs, distributing ownership of the platform and a crowdfunding experiment for the actual working team to have enough funds without putting a constant selling pressure on the fungible token; Bario Punks, which forms the basis of the upcoming https://t.co/FOtzUKorEf, a huge game where Punks will be interacting with one another through LLM-like agents with lots of new info to be revealed before its release (I am too hyped about this), and the other games developed by the team themselves which can be minted and played on BAES.

However, if you want to scale and want to onboard the next few millions, you need to delegate (decentralize) and you need to first onboard builders. Most new "founders" in this space fail to see the power of distributing ownership, building stuff with a SaaS mind. These people are net negative for the space and their main motivation is to extract as much value as possible from the crypto hype. Fortunately, almost all of them fail or are doomed to fail in the long run.

Well, the idea behind BAES was to provide a platform for all independent game developers to showcase their games. Like in the case for most centralized platforms, the creators are left with nothing and it is always the intermediaries who make bank and use their power to exploit individuals doing all the *legwork* and leech off of their backs. This is true for the gaming industry as well. These creative minds need a credibly neutral platform to showcase their creations and get rewarded fairly. And you know what, get rid of the middlemen, and you achieved 90% of fairness already.

In order to help onboard these creators, to delegate creativity, to provide them a space to showcase their games, to get fair rewards for their hard work, to allow them to leverage the true power of blockchains, Bario team will be hosting a Game Jam on https://t.co/fwIuPu7c2t with a juicy prize pool. I see this as a great opportunity to grow together. Apes together, stronk moment.

This is it. This is the alfa. Wanna bring the world onchain, it is easy. Build cool stuff, help others build cool stuff with you, do not be afraid to experiment, delegate and give people an actual reason to evangelize your cause.
