forever remembering the first time when my mom showed that she wasn’t really homophobic. i picked up a book at the library to read and read like 10 chapters of it before discovering that the main character was lesbian. being the heavily catholic kid i was, i apologized profusely-

will say that i feel like i don’t even need to come out anymore (still haven’t oops) bc my mom has dropped so many non-subtle “subtle” hints that she knows i like girls (when i told her Emily Prentiss was my favorite in Criminal Minds, she asked “why? because you like girls?” 😭)
